Yes, I was stupid and did not record evidence of this. I was in NG+ and all of my stats were maxed. The game always tells you if you are, and it did not. I was not in a relationship with another girl. I am not claiming this is absolutely accurate information. I redid the event at least three times, referencing several online guides. I absolutely did not make the wrong choices in Rank 9. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help figure out what happened. I will need to replay the entire game to speedrun to Takemi and apparently I am not guaranteed to be able to reproduce this result. If anyone has the time or patience, please look into this. But I strongly, passionately believe something is happening with this confidant and perhaps more that nobody in the community knows about. I did ask, at the time, for someone to add this info to the English fandom wiki because it was not there previously. You must choose at least one of these options to enable the romance for Takemi. She rejected me.Īccording to some obscure sources I found, originating from a Japanese wiki page (below) there are at least three choices ahead of Rank 9 that matter. I spent a long time looking into this at the time, but it seems like this is not something anybody knows about and only a handful of people have experienced. No matter what choice I made, the event went a different direction with Takemi saying I was "faithful" and letting me down easy. There are supposed to be three choices in a row, concluding with "It isn't a joke", however I did not get this option. However, when I got to rank 9 I could not romance her.
I wasn't follow a guide strictly, only glanced at them to make sure I did not miss any pre-rank 9 romance flags. Two months or so ago I was continuing my NG+ run of Royal, intending to romance Takemi.
